ABOUT THE ARTIST

Logan Wake Butler was born and raised in Rochester, Illinois, near the south fork of the Sangamon River. Growing up, he spent much of his time exploring the forests and rivers surrounding his childhood home, which sparked his lifelong interest in nature. These experiences—observing tangled branches, winding vines, wet leaves, curving riverbeds, tadpole clusters, and the daily rhythm of sunrises and sunsets amid dense tree canopies—shaped his artistic perspective and continue to influence his work. He channels these natural elements into his abstract art.

Currently, LWB lives in Franklin, Tennessee. His artwork reflects themes of constant change and the blend of chaos and harmony he sees in life. Through his pieces, he aims to offer viewers a fresh take on contemporary abstract art. Paintings been collected, and exhibited, in Chicago, New York City, Miami, Tampa, and Vail.

Surreal painting of a man with an eagle blending into his hair, set against a dark background.
